First trip to C&CR since they’ve changed locations. Great turnout and a fantastic variety, as usual. Hot and humid today, but I still had a great time and saw some really cool stuff.

My buddy’s LS swapped brown, manual wagon.

I was expecting to see LS Swapped, LS Swapped, LS Swapped, LS Swapped...

given the recent discussion on them. Great album though, so much variety. Plus I love how most of those are somewhat affordable to your average Joe-Blow. I honestly get tired of “here’s a P1, GT3 RS, R8, the 4th Shelby Cobra ever made, something with diamonds in the shifter, something so expensive you’ve never heard of, oh and 7 Aventadors”

I read his thread end to end when I first got my Magnum because a motor swap is in it’s future, admittedly though, mine is within the family.

His build is among the few that have really made me actually want a BMW.

Is your friend ever going to swap a 6.0 or 5.3 in a e38? So far he’s tackled most of the mysterious canbus wiring to work with the GM’s ecu.

He’s the few people that have made a LS engine swap look clean. By that I mean the GM ecu works with the BMW canbus system. He has a functioning ABS, DCS, cluster with inputs, and A/C. The wiring is the only time consuming process on a BMW engine swap.

He did a headlamp retrofit from a Nissan Murano to the headlamps in the R. It came out perfect. I’d write him a fat check if he made more of these...It really brings the car up to date.
